Sessions are specially designed for you to manage your event.  Be it adding multiple sessions to your event for various locations with their respective ticket details, you can make all these changes here.

  • Select sessions on the left tool bar in event dashboard.
  • Then click on “+ Add Object” at top right corner.


 

  • After the click, you will get an “Add Object” pop-up.
  • This pop-up consists various options like '+Group', '+Venue', '+Session' and '+Ticket'


First let us understand with an example how “Add Object” pop-up will help you. 


If your event is about a movie show. A movie release (main event) at different theatres (multiple groups) has different shows (multiple sessions). These theatres are at different locations (multiple venues) with varied ticket costs (multiple tickets type). 

Note: Information given in the brackets are relatable to the buttons on the pop-up.


Understanding steps involved in creating and editing a Group in Event Dashboard


 

  • To add a group, click on “+Group” present on Add object pop up.
  • On clicking you will get the next “Add Group” pop-up. 


  

  • Fill in the details like “Name” and “Description”. 

Note: The details with “*” are mandatory.

  • After filling all the details, click on the “Save” button at bottom right corner of the pop-up.
  • This will again give you a pop-up.

  • Click on “Yes, Save Layout!” if you have completed creating a group.
  • Once saved you can see the newly created group.

  • If you have anything to edit in group description, click on “No, Continue edit!”
  • This will take you to your created group where you can click on the “Edit” button at the right corner.
  • You will get an “Edit Group” pop-up.
  • After you have made changes, click on “Update” button at the right bottom.


 

  • Similarly, you can add and edit as many groups as you want for your event.


Understanding the steps involved in creating and editing a Venue in Event Dashboard



  • To add a venue, click on “+Venue” present on Add object pop up.
  • On clicking you will get the next “Add Venue” pop-up.

 

  • Select location under “Select Venue”.
  • At “Select Group” add the particular group for which the venue is created. 

Note: The details with “*” are mandatory. 

  • This helps you to add the venue under the selected group. (Note this especially, when you have created multiple groups for an event). 
  • After adding all the details, click on the “Save” button at the right bottom of the pop-up.
  • This will again give you a pop-up.


  • Click on “Yes, Save Layout!” if you have completed creating a venue.
  • Once saved you can see the newly created venue under the particular group.



  • If you have anything to edit in the venue, click on “No, Continue edit!”
  • This will take you to your created venue where you can click on the “Edit” button at the right corner.


  • You will get an “Edit Venue” pop-up.
  • After you have made changes, click on the “Update” button at the right bottom.



  • Similarly, you can add and edit venue of multiple groups for an event.


Understanding steps involved in creating and editing a Session in Event Dashboard


 

  • To add a session, click on “+Session” present on Add object pop up.
  • On clicking, you will get the next “Add Session” pop-up. 


 

  • Fill in the details like “Name”, “Description”. 
  • Select the session “Start Time”, “End Time”, “Booking Start Time”, Booking “End Time”, “Status”, “Select Venue".

Note: The details with “*” are mandatory. 

  • At “Select Venue” add the particular group for which it is created. 
  • This helps you to add that session under the selected group. (Note this especially, when you have created multiple groups for an event).


 

  • After filling all the details, click on “Save” button at the right bottom of the pop-up.


 

  • This will again give you a pop-up.

  • Click on “Yes, Save Layout!” if you have completed creating a session.
  • Once saved you can see the newly created session under the particular group.



  • If you have anything to edit in session, click on “No, Continue edit!”
  • This will take you to your created session where you can click on the “Edit” button at the right corner.



  • You will get an “Edit Session” pop-up.
  • After you have made changes, click on the “Update” button at the right bottom.



 

  • In many cases editing a session is required when you want to disable a session or hide a session for an event. 

 

Know more about Session “Status” with an example:

 

For example, if bookings for a particular show of an event/movie is full and you want to disable it to stop further bookings. In this, you just need to change session status to “Disabled”. The users at such time can just view the particular show on the app. He can’t proceed further.

 

Another example, if the show has ended and you need to remove its details from the app. You just need to select “Hidden” at session status. Viewers can’t see this show at all on the app.

 

  • Similarly, you can add and edit as many sessions as you want under one or multiple groups for an event.


Understanding steps involved in creating and editing a Ticket in Event Dashboard


 

  • To add a ticket, click on “+Ticket” present on Add object pop up.
  • On clicking, you will get the next “Add Ticket” pop-up. 


  

  • Select the ticket category such as “Free Ticket” or “Paid Ticket” as required.
  • On selection, you will get another “Add ticket” pop up where you need to fill in all ticket details.



  • Click on the dropdown beside “Price”.
  • You will get a detailed page.


 

  • Fill in the details like 'Ticket name', 'Ticket Availability' and 'Ticket capacity'.
  • At 'Select Section' add the particular group for which the ticket is created. 
  • This helps you to add a ticket under the selected group. (Note this especially, when you have created multiple groups for an event).

  • After adding all the details, click on the “Save” button at the right bottom of the pop-up. 
  • This will again give you a pop-up.
  • Click on “Yes, Save Layout!” if you have completed creating a ticket.
  • Once saved you can see the newly created ticket under the particular group.
  • If you have anything to edit in the ticket details, click on “No, Continue edit!”
  • This will take you to your created ticket where you can click on the “Edit” button at the right corner.
  • You will get an “Edit Ticket” pop-up.
  • After you have made changes, click on the “Update” button at the right bottom.

Note: You can add multiple ticket categories for a particular session. For example, in a theatre for a movie show (consider the show as one of the sessions), not all tickets are of the same cost. Some are costlier than others as per seats. Some tickets can also be free. These tickets are of different capacity. At such similar conditions, you just need to add various ticket types and follow the mentioned steps.

  • Similarly, you can add and edit any ticket of a group for an event.


Save the changes

Once you complete adding and editing the session layout, click on the 'Save Layout' button at the top right of the toolbar.
